Training for those who prepare, pack, document and offer dangerous goods for transport by sea, is a mandatory requirement of the International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) Code.

This e-learning course is aimed at those preparing and offering dangerous goods for transport via sea and will provide you with a general overview of the IMDG Code, updated to the latest Amendment, 40-20, which is mandatory from the 1st June 2022.

Further information

The course is also designed to fulfil the theoretical requirements of function-specific and safety training, as detailed in the IMDG Code Chapter 1.3, for those preparing and offering dangerous goods for transport via sea.

However, because all operations are different, we can not verify the competency of employees, which we recommend should be monitored or verified by the employer.

We also have more detailed function-specific courses available to compliment this training, such as 'how to complete a DGN' and 'how to pack dangerous goods'.

The training includes videos with audio and the test requires cookies to be enabled on your browser.

The course price is £82.50 per user excluding VAT, which is charged in addition depending upon your location. (£99.00 per user including 20% UK VAT)

A VAT invoice will be emailed to you automatically after purchase for your records.

Please click here if you would like to pay for multiple users via emailed invoice (we offer discounts for multiple purchases!) or pay via invoice instead of by card online, and click here to purchase on behalf of someone else online or purchase multiple courses online.
